Programs
Viva Kids Academy offers infant, toddler and preschool programs. The centre is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Infant Program
(6 months - 18 months)
Viva Tots is specially designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for infants. Classroom facilitators nurture and encourage curiosity through open-ended activities that develop a sense of trust and help improve communication by building social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Each infant receives personalized care based on their physical, emotional and nutritional needs. The Viva Tots classroom is a sensory-rich space with natural materials and lighting so babies can safely and confidently move, explore and discover in ways that develop fine and large motor skills. We participate in outdoor walks and play daily.

Toddler Program
(18 months - 30 months)
The Viva Jr. toddler program is filled with hands-on, discovery-based activities, guided exploration and social situations— all set within a consistent schedule that offers smooth transitions between activities. As children approach age two, their imagination and curiosity give them great energy and creative potential. Our lead facilitators help these new walkers climb, crawl and explore their world in ways that develop social, emotional, cognitive and gross motor skills. Materials for art, music, dance, science and dramatic play enable our toddlers to enjoy the process of creating their own ideas and solving their own problems. These learning opportunities help children develop self-control by using positive guidance techniques such as modelling, redirecting, setting clear limits, and rewarding acceptable behaviour. Outdoor and indoor play is provided daily to exercise large muscles.

Preschool Program
(30 months - 4 years old)
The Viva Grad preschool program helps children build a strong foundation for expressing their thoughts, emotions, and ideas. When preschoolers are appropriately guided and encouraged to express themselves, they can become more independent and feel like valued contributors to the classroom community. Through our Reggio Emilia approach and project-based learning, Viva Grads are exposed to literacy, music, art, math, and real-life experiences through engaging project work, facilitating curiosity, investigation and discovery while building self-confidence. The program is designed to meet individual differences in ability and interest. Each child has the opportunity to learn to make responsible choices. Learning experiences are created based on the emerging children’s interests, questions and ideas. Opportunities to practice self-help skills are encouraged. Outdoor and indoor play is provided daily to exercise large muscles.

Fee Schedule: Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System
The Ontario Government has successfully rolled out the initial phase of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System, which supports quality, accessible, affordable and inclusive early learning in licensed child care serving children under the age of six. It was initiated and funded by the Government of Canada, and CWELCC is a five-year plan to reduce the cost of child care to an average of $10 per day by 2026.
To learn more, visit the Ontario Government’s website.
Effective January 1, 2025, families with eligible aged children in programs participating in CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care) will see childcare fees capped at $22 per day. The City of Toronto Children's Service has approved our centre's budget. Viva Kids Academy (KVU Inc.) will continue to support the CWELCC program in 2025 by offering reduced-rate childcare to benefit our families.

Please find a copy of our 2025 Viva Kids Academy Parent Handbook in the link below.
Our parent handbook outlines essential information you need to know while your child is in our care. It contains information regarding the practices, policies, and procedures governing the programs and the regulations under the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA).
When CCEYA or Toronto Public Health regulations are updated, we revise and update our parent handbook and post it on our website. This handbook is current as of January 1, 2025.
